Date

Summary
In 1978 Inuk writer Mini Aodla Freeman published her memoir of her experiences in the north and the south, Life Among the Qallunaat, to critical acclaim. But the manuscript had been edited severely, without Aodla Freeman’s permission. In 2015, with the help of Keavy Martin, Julie Rak and Norma Dunning (Inuk), a restored version of Life Among the Qallunaat was published, this time with the author’s full participation in the editing process. In this session, Mini Aodla Freeman talks about the editing process with Keavy Martin and Julie Rak.
