Summary
University of Alberta research improves our world. And this can be facilitated by ensuring that our community is aware of and even involved in our research. Join our speakers to learn about how they developed and delivered four innovative knowledge mobilization projects:
Development of an interactive webpage and printable one-pager for parents and teachers of bilingual children attending French-language kindergarten classes in Edmonton (Dr. Andrea MacLeod, Carolina Salinas Marchant, Sabah Meziane).
A workshop and newsletters for pre-service teachers and a town hall for parents/guardians/ caregivers on the emotional well-being of grade six girls (Dr. Alexandra Fidyk).
A workshop for African immigrants on domestic violence (Dr. Philomina Okeke-Ihejirika).
A policy brief for city officials, planners, and executives from local business associations on revitalizing underutilized spaces in urban settings (Prof Rob Shields ).
